School Holidays are the perfect opportunity for kids and young poeple to get outside, have fun and explore the world! MARACCAS provides an exciting and safe environment for young people to experience new thigs, challenge themselves and have memorable school holiday experiences!
Active Arts
The ‘Active Arts’ workshop program includes outdoor recreational games and arts-based activities that lead to learning outcomes in areas of local cultural heritage and identity.
These workshops can include walking tours where students are able to discover local landmarks and sites of cultural heritage. Having the opportunity to engage in class discussions and activities about self-expression and identity, as well as active reacreational and drama based games that promote health and wellbeing stimulating the mind and body.
These ‘Active Arts’ Programs are designed to combine a range of different disciplines over one day, or can be tailored to a period of weeks. Leaving participants feeling energised, inspired, and in touch with their creative selves.
Creative Self Expression
The Creative Self Expression Programs combines a range of different creative disciplines such as dance, visual arts and craft, circus and drama over a number of days or weeks culminating in a conclusive and self-expressive showcase where the participants can perform and promote their gained skills for their peers, teachers, parents and local community.
Designed to foster creative self-expression, through engaging with a series of dynamics participants begin to explore and experience themselves as limitless creative potential.
Day Trips, Excursions & Tours
MARACCAS loves to provide intersting and exciting experiences for young people that enrich and inspire confidence and self-esteem.
We offer day trips and excursions around Brisbane and surrounding areas including bushwalking, rock-climbing and abseiling activities. We also offer photography walking tours where young people are able to learn the basics of photography whilst also learning about local cultural heritage and sites of interest.
These experiences always leave the participants feeling empowered with a sense of achievement and fullfillment. Come and enjoy a MARACCAS day of activities and fun in the sun!
