Arts Therapy
Through activities such as painting, drawing, book binding, sculpture, art with salvaged materials as well as dance and movement, circus, drama games and outdoor adventures; participants are able to share the creative process and explore their feelings through the development of art practices. These programs improve self confidence, communication, support development of positive relationships, relieve stress, tension and anxiety, and promote self-care and self-reliance.
This prcoess is a great tool for therapy, as many of the participants of our community projects come from disadvantaged and turblent backgrounds with histories of mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, domestic violence and low socio-economic situations.

Art becomes a way of creating new pathways to positive sense of self-esteem, a means for social engagement and it also reinforces the importance of self expression and communication.
Active Recreation & Fitness
We practice exercises and activities such as yoga & meditation, martial-arts, dance, circus and physical theatre as well as rock climbing, abseiling and bushwalking as a way to stimulate our bodies and minds to feel fit and healthy.
These activities focus on body mind relaxation to create an experience where participants leave feeling inspired, grounded and aware of healthy practices. It offers a dynamic and creative tool to develop body strength, gain discipline and fortify self-control.

It is well known that being active and healthy physically has a direct impact and correlation to our mental and emotional health and wellbeing as well.
Dinner Nights and Entertainment Nights
Sharing in a healhty meal creates a great social atmosphere where community members can share stories from the week, catch up and get to know each other on a deeper level, building friendships and learning about healthy food and cooking.
Dinner nights also consist of sharing information, themed discussions about dreams, discovery, innovation, society, careers and employment opportunities and dynamics that promote self-expression as well as enhancing social inclusion and recognition of people’s cultural heritage and identity.
The Entertainment Nights facilitate and encourage participants to be active in supporting arts and cultural events through a rotating schedule of selected movies, shows and exhibitions as well as games nights and performances.

Group activities and community discussions encourage engagement within the wider community promoting self-esteem and social inclusion.
