...Back in Brisbane

March 2016

Working with renowned

Teatro Itinerante Del Sol

and the unique style of Bio Drama/Dharma

A unique form of theatre that values nature as the source of life and creative inspiration - connected with the ancient and sacred origins of theatre as a form of ritual and story-telling.

As Co-Producers of the new play Origines Hacia El Sur (developed over 6 weeks during Jan-March)

MARACCAS have just performed in Bogota at Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo (18 & 19 Sept) and in local schools in the surrounding areas of Villa De Leyva, Colombia.

Also invited by Floripa Teatro to perfom by special invitation for the 22nd Festival Isnard Azevedo in Florianopolis, Brazil (17-25 Oct).

 MARACCAS Videos

After 2 years of putting this film project in the background due to funding restraints, we have finally completed this documentary video of the fantastic 6 week creative workshop program that we ran in 2013 for homeless and at risk communities in Fortitude Valley. Thanks to all those who were involved in this project and supported us throughout! Especially Brisbane City Council who funded this program through their Housing Support Program Grant.

Our Major Partner NISER (National Institute for Socio Economic and Environmental Research) has a lot of great services to offer individuals and community groups. NISER have helped us to secure funding on numerous occasions and supports our projects by way of admin support and even project management. We would not be here today without the support and services of NISER. visit: www.niser.org for more info!

Part 3 of our Clown Stories adventure in Colombia and Brazil, produced for 2014 Anywhere Fest. A tale that semi documents our trip through the beautiful continent.

In early 2014 Jonas and Lilly were invited to be part of the Lockyer Valley Multicultral Festival as Clown MC's and Story Telling Space Facilitators. Our Job was to create this trailor as a tribute for the event, so here it is...

Last year and this year, the MARACCAS Film Crew were also invited to be part of another film project produced by our Major Partner NISER (Noosa Institute for Socio Economic and Environmental Research). The project documents the history of the ANZAC Equestrian groups on the Sunshine Coast.
