MARACCAS & Teatro Itinerante Del Sol (Biodrama) are developing a play called Origenes in 2015

After visiting the XIV Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro in Bogotá April 2014, MARACCAS established partnership with the Director of the Teatro Itinerante Del Sol Beatriz Camargo to produce a play called "Origenes".

Artists, actors and producers from Argentina, Colombia, Australia, Mexico and Brazil will be working together in Colombia during 45 days to put together creativity, inspiration and anthropological myths into a unique theatre performance.

Beatriz Camargo founded, in 1982, the Teatro Itinerante del Sol. She has written, acted and directed many plays internationally. Her creative and mystic career brought to life an innovative theatre practice called Biodrama, from which arises a holistic art scene linked to nature.

According to her book Biodrama-Biodharma the theatre style is the first approach to the vision that integrates through the performing arts, all arts and knowledge with nature, to find again the balance between humans and the planet.. The theatre leads practicioners and audiences to the ancient mythologies to connect body, voice, territory, dramaturgy, staging and establish a creative relationship between contemporary art and ancient roots.
